How to get rid of negative thoughts ?

Well we all have many problems in our life, as they say life is a bed of thorns not a bed of roses,

So how do we get out of the difficult situations ? well... many a times we just want to stretch our hands at the fullest and come out of our heads..but we are unable to do it.

So what is the solution ?

People would say go to mediation classes, go to temples, pray God continously, some would say get a medical treatment, some would say if you have to get out of your depression go to a psychatrist,
offcourse if only we had the time and resources for it, plus 24/7 care, even if someone had this I would still recommend my below solution to them.

That is listen continuously to God Songs,

Any song of your liking for example I prefer to listen to Ayyapa songs, then shift to Mata Vaishno devi, Shiva songs, Ganesha songs, songs praising Jesus, any song praising the Lord,

But what would it do to our psyche ?, Well the thing is that when you start listening to God's songs you are automatically shifted on to the positive side/aspect of life and get in tuned to Nature's frequency or God's frequency automatically..so what would happen is that the wrong things/practises... we do in our daily life or done by other to us.., will slowly slowly get corrected and our course of life will gradually get corrected and shift to right direction one by one, one step at a time.. and our and others heart will listen in to God's call and beat in to the right tune, our actions will get corrected and our destiny will change and thereby we can lead a Happy and Peaceful life.

But mind you this is not an overnight dose, but things will definetely improve and once we submit ourselves to God permanently, by the way submitting doesnt means we have to give something or anything like that the only thing is that the thoughts we hold so strongly have to be released so that the noose around gets loosened up., By listening to God's songs the noose around will definetely get loosened up because we are indrectly loosing up the strong thoughts that we hold on to...hence our life will again come back to normal and simple.

What are the challenges in this or are there any challenges ?, :

Well the challenge is that if you keep listening to some bhakti/God songs for say an hour..generally our mind will get over " oh! enough of the noise its over now..lets switch off the loud box "..

Generally what i do this i wind up for a while go around for errands and then start again...
mind you when i start all over again it is not an impedement that says you have to do it...,
There are no hard and fast rules for this.., we can just keep listening to God's songs whenever we want.. this in way will automatically get us tuned in to listen to more of God's songs and we will be
gradually moved in to Positive and right direction.

Well i would say when my childrens grow up..i would definetely put God's songs in my house daily...for more hours as possible..., this would help them grow in a good mannerisms, god fearing individuals, This will help them in not committing the mistakes which otherwise they would have done and also this would help them in identifying and correcting the character flaws they had in them by birth.

increasing storage life

1     1) Take a bowl put some water inside it and put the ginger inside and keep it in the fridge. Change the water every two days. This way we can keep the ginger fresh and use it for a long period.
2        2)  Take a box keep biscuits in it and sprinkle sugar over it. This way we can use biscuits for a long period without getting spoiled.
  1. 3    To remove the sketch pen stain apply acetone which is used for removing the nail polish.
    4)      If your house is smoky hang a wet cloth it will absorb all the smoke.
    5)      Keep dried lemon skin in your cupboard the insects will not come inside it.
    6)      Put camphor in the bag containing silver vessels the color of the silver vessels will not turn black.
    7)      Wrap the bananas in a wet cloth it will be fresh for some more time.
    8)      Do not keep the apple and carrot in the same compartment, the gas coming from the apple will make the carrot bitter.
    9)      Do not use excess water for boiling the vegetables, use only sufficient water otherwise the vitamins and the smell of the vegetables will go out.
    10)   Generally the color of the green vegetables change after two or three days to stop this if you sprinkle lemon juice over the vegetables it will remain green for some days.

Usage of pressure cooker

  1. Do not boil rice and vegetables together as vegetables gets boiled first.
  2. when we boil lentils add the required amount of salt and keep it in pressure cooker it gets boiled quickly and the  nutrition value is regained.
  3. If the colour of the pressure cooker inside changes then take a lemon cut it into half and put one half inside and use for cooking it will retain its original colour.
  4. when cooker is not in use keep the gasket pressed over lid.
  5. Do not use rough powder to clean the cooker and do not use for frying using or for some other purpose.
  6. When we using both vegetables and pulses keep them separately in a container.
  7. When we cleaning the cooker the wooden handle should be dried using a cloth otherwise the nail inside will get rusted and the handle will break.

It is very important to keep the body cool during summer season to avoid the heat related diseases.Some of the foods, fruits ,vegetables and spinachs that should be taken during summer are listed below.
Cucumber  It  helps instopping the dehydration of body fluids and becoming tired.In hot summer the bodys calcium and phosphorous content gets wasted.we can stop the above wastage by taking enough cucumber.
Watermelon   It gives energy and gives briskness to dry body parts during summer.It gives the body fluids without increasing the cholestrol level.
Tender coconut  During summer large amounts of salts are formed in kidneys and Liver and they turn into kidney stones and liver stones.If we take one tender coconut daily it clears all the extra salts and blockage in the sweat glands are cleared.
Lemon juice In summer body looses the vitamin c.Tht lemon juice compensates the vitamin c and removes the body fat in blood vessels and nerve centres.Lemon juice with little salt and without sugar helps in removing the sweat.
Carrot People withhigh blood pressure and diabetes must take carrot,the body temperature increases and they suddenly faint.their blood pressure will be erratic.So if we take enough carrot the body heat will be balanced.
Custard apple  It has got glucoseit gives us energy and always keeps us active.
Banana Keeps the body heat balanced and the water level in the blood.
Pomegranate If you eat the fruit it releives us from sweatting,loose motion,itches in the skin.
Tomato It removes the unwanted substance from the body which creates problem for the body.
Ginger It is good for fainting andand gas problem caused due to shortage of water in the intestineand for vomitting too.
Onion It cools the body and the quarcitin in the onion stops the itching due to heat.
we should avoid the juices that are stored in bottles,fried and oily items,stick ice creams,brinjal,
we should take only natural foods.

Avial


Avial
Goes best with Adai. And has so many vegetables !! Full of nutrition, vitamins and Fibre. It is not necessary that you add all the vegetables mentioned below, any combination would work. You can add all your favorite vegetables. I generally do not like to miss Pooshnika as it gives avail its taste.



Ingredients
  • 4 potatoes – cut them into big squares
  • ½ Pooshnika – again cut them into big squares
  • 15 beans
  • Green peas – about ¼ cup
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 drumstick
  • 2 cups thick curd


Preparation
  • Cut all the vegetables into big squares. Beans, carrot should be cut as inch tubes.
  • Pressure cook to boil all the vegetables. Make sure that you do not overcook, as the vegetables will get mashed.
  • Grind Jeera ( Jeeragam), Green chillies, coconut and soaked chana daal. As most of us in the family are diabetic, I usually miss coconut.
  • Take curd, add the ground mix, curry leaves and the vegetables. Do not keep in the stove. Add salt and mix well.
  • Keep in stove for just about 2 minutes. Not more. If you keep for a longer period, the curd will break.
 


You are done! Add some more curry leaves and serve with Adai.

Pre-term labor or Braxton Hicks Contractions or Uterine irritability

I was 22 weeks pregnant, and one night I was sitting on my couch and all of a sudden I started with period like cramps. Having come 22 weeks far, I was used to cramps now and then. But the cramps did not stop even after 30 minutes and they kept increasing in intensity. The pain was like menstrual like cramps in the lower abdomen. I did not know if I was starting to have pre term labor or it was normal Braxton Hicks Contractions. Luckily my husband was not travelling that week and he wanted me to go to the doctor immediately. I was hesitant. 


To the ER..


I waited for about 30 minutes, checked some blogs on the internet.  All of them suggested going the Labor and Delivery for a checkup. But again, I was hesitant. I tried various techniques suggested on the internet to ease my pain. I drank a lot of fluid and lied down on my left side. No, it was still hurting. My husband was adamant and I decided to go the ER. I called my hospital’s nurse line and they asked me to rush to ER as soon as possible. I got the address of my nearest hospital. I could see the tension on my husband’s face. We didn’t want to lose this baby at any cost. I sat in the car and I was still hurting. Just 6 months ago, my closest friend had a 6 month miscarriage. I was imagining that something like that was going to happen to me. We arrived in the hospital and went straight into L & D. The nurse checked and said I was having contractions. I panicked but luckily they were mild. Not like the ones during actual labor. But the word contraction got me and my husband tensed.  The nurse said that my cervix needed to be checked to see if I had dilated. And again I was safe. But I was still hurting. The on call doctor advised for an injection dosage of Terbutaline 2.5 mg. The nurse waited for 20 minutes to check if my contractions were gone and yes they were. I was in great relief. But she wanted me to check with my gyn the next day. The whole night me and husband kept praying. 


On complete bed rest…
I was bed ridden the whole night but could not sleep because of tension. I met my gyn the next day and she asked me to be on bed rest most of the times throughout the day. She also asked me to drink plenty of water. I asked her what it was. She was not that clear. She said it could be Braxon Hicks Contractions or Uterine Irritability. She prescribed Terbutaline 2.5 mg every 6 hours if I started hurting again. I cannot explain my feelings for the next couple of weeks. I tried by best to be safe. And fortunately I never had to take medications or go to the doctor. But what were those.
I read a lot of article and Braxton Hicks contractions do not hurt. They only cause some mild discomfort. This is caused by something called Uterine Irritability.


Uterine Irritability
Uterine Irritability is discomfort/contractions in the uterus when your Uterus expands when the baby grows. Your uterus expands and stretches as the baby grows to a bigger size. This causes menstrual like cramps. But they do not cause the cervix to be dilated.  It is hard to differentiate between pre-term labor and Uterine Irritability. So if you are hurting and have any of the following symptoms DO NOT WAIT. Head straight to your hospital or the nearest one. Doctors can prescribe or inject Muscle relaxer like Terbutaline and keep you on watch.  Remember it is better to be safe than sorry.
Precautions
Water the elixir of life !! Drink drink plenty of water all the time throughout your pregnancy. Drink at least 10 glasses of water. It can do wonders. And does wonders. Water eases the Uterine when it expands. So no pain while your Uterus expands ! and no Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)
